Pikuniku Cafe

What other Aucklanders are saying about Pikuniku Cafe.

Customer : I have fallen in love with the cozy, warmth and inviting ambiance of this cafe. The staff are very friendly and there are two seating places, one with lots of skylight and the other more closed off. Food from menu is pretty good and cabinet desserts are even better. We have only tried their cold drinks with their iced mocha being delicious! My favorite might just be their matcha ice cream .

Customer : Japanese inspired cafe.
Food was good, I ordered Tako Omurice it was yummy.

I also love their coffee. Ambience was cozy but parking is small so you have to use the off street parking.

It is quite busy on that street.
Good for family and friends meet up. They also offer kids menu.

They also offer variety of ice cream.

Customer : Nice atmosphere. However the coffee is not as good as I was been told by friends. A little bit watery and it took so long to make the latte art, which made the coffee with too much foam/bubbles. Tiramisu was too sweet and can’t taste any chocolate nor coffee flavor…. A little bit disappointed.

Customer : Slightly over-rated in my opinion. The menu was Japanese inspired, but didn’t really come through the flavours. Taste of the food was quite average, though coffee and the ambience was quite nice.
Service was slow due to the popularity and the crowd. But appreciate the team working as hard as they could to meet all demand.

Customer : Pretty good location and environment. Taro Latte taste great. Food taste nice too but wait for over 40 mins, Probably due to the staff shortage i guess….but staffs are friendly.

Customer : When I bus by this place I thought it is called Pikachu cafe, maybe because I can’t read the store sign Haha ^.^
Brought in by the pure curiosity. The cafe is actually bigger than I thought! loved the atmosphere and music, spend a good amount of time here today…. Also like the clean ,elegant yet modern Japanese decorations.
Had an egg Benedict with pork belly today, nice and tender. Will be back to try other dishes for sure!

Customer : Order the big breakfast! I noticed that it’s becoming the norm everywhere that coffees are $5 and big breakfast is creeping near $30. You’ll get that here too but it’s a solid meal and worth the price, it comes with potato croquette and teriyaki chicken – so good. The menu is interesting overall and different. I’m not sure about paying $27 for an open sandwich and I wish there was a sweet dish option without ice cream.

Customer : Delicious Breakfast, flavour and texture. Even after takeaway and eating at home room temp was still delicious. So must means it is delicious!

I think I came first day they open so service was a bit slow. But expected in early days. Apart from that – I loved it!
