The England national football team secured a 2-0 win over the Serbia national football team at Wembley Stadium, maintaining a perfect record in the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign.
Saka and Eze Seal the Result
Bukayo Saka opened the scoring in the 28th minute with a precision volley. Later on, Eberechi Eze curled in a second for England in the 90th minute after a slick move involving Phil Foden. The win takes England to seven wins from seven matches and seven clean sheets.
England’s Depth and Serbia’s Exit
With qualification already secured, England’s manager Thomas Tuchel used the fixture to test squad depth, bringing on Foden and Eze, among others. This defeat effectively ended Serbia’s playoff hopes.
Thanks to the victory, England remains in full control of Group K, while Serbia will need unlikely results to reach the playoffs. The next fixture sees England travel to Albania, while Serbia hosts Latvia.
