Dear Jervois
What other Aucklanders are saying about Dear Jervois.
Customer : Great cafe for breakfast or brunch.
Make good coffee and delicious food.
We had deconstructed breakfast burrito and eggs Benedict with mushrooms on potato rosti.
Delicious and fresh…
Amazing customer service and the staff were super friendly.
Customer : Way overpriced. $27 creamy mushrooms +$4 poached egg. Mushrooms tasted like it was made with Maggi packet sauce, or those creamy pasta Alfredo dry mixes. Bread was so stale. Definitely at least a day old, hard to cut and eat. I wonder if it has switched hands because food quality has declined tremendously since we last came. Many other cafes in this price range with better quality food. Don’t recommend this to anyone.
Customer : They were short on staffs so I couldn’t get breakfast but NZ is suffering from a labour shortage so I don’t blame them. They were still very kind and gave good service.
Coffee and and the cardamom pastry was pretty good! They got outdoor seating at the front so you can park our dog outside:)
Customer : Had a decently portioned salmon poke bowl on the weekend. Lots of delicious treats on the menu, I’ll be back to check out more. A little expensive with this poke bowl topping out at $27 and many other menu items starting around mid $20’s and extras can easily push breakfast over $30 for food alone per person. Yikes.
Customer : Dear Jervois would easily rate in my top 3 breakfasts in Auckland. After a few runs up the Sentinel stairs our team catch up here on a Friday morning where the DJ complete is a crowd favorite. Great coffee and great service.

Customer : Very popular cafe in herne bay – they now have pet-friendly deck area around the back which is a plus – Amazingly presented food and they are very yom! Very good coffee too
Customer : The food is great here! Very popular spot but if you time it right there’s always a seat. Would highly recommend.
Customer : A cafe that lives up to its popularity! The coffee was good, had a sort of deep flavour to it that I can’t quite describe in words. The matcha waffles were also soft and delicious, not too sweet.
