What other Aucklanders are saying about Island Escape Cruises (NZ) Limited.
Christopher Lyons : The management of this company have shown no interest in working with their clients since the company collapsed. If it was possible to give zero stars then that would be too many.
kellie robinson : Do not book this boat. They have gone into receivership. This cruise was a faulty towers from start to end. You could not eat the food. The ship it’s self is lovely. I feel it started operating to early before they got full staff. The CEO will not reply to anymore emails. Get your money back and book another ship. This boat is currently grounded. No one knows why.
Andy Davies : I was on the cruise ending 3 July 2022.
This cruise was so bad I am going to sue them for breach of contract, (if we ever find someone to sue!)
They promised 5 star and delivered 1.
The boat is already falling to bits, we spent the first night tied up along side an industrial dock as they couldn’t get enough crew to set sail.
the food was in such short supply our last breakfast was 1 x watermelon and a pineapple shared amongst all the guests. Over all what we did have was mostly inedible, the “soft shelled crab” was sent back by all the guests, We even had to send the bread back as inedible! It was the only cruise I have ever been on where I lost weight! my most memorable breakfast was ritz crackers and peanut butter.
No-one of the crew could make a cocktail, the wine selection averaged $12-14 retail range, 2 brands of beer and one of those ran out.
The staff did the best they could under the circumstances but they need about 5 more people to deliver any kind of service.
Our cabin (202) was not serviced or cleaned the entire trip, no experienced staff for shore excursions and a guide who had never been in Australia (or at least the Kimberley’s) before!
Good luck to the unfortunate people owed money by the company, don’t believe a word they say about their problems, It’s all about the money, they have yours and clearly don’t want to give it back (if they did they would have done so by now.)
Murrie Taylor : DO NOT HAVE ANY INVOLVEMENT WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!
We parted with $30,000 for their Kimberley cruise in Western Australia. Departure date 03/07/22. When the bus collecting us from our accommodation did not not show up, I contacted Broome Transit to be told the cruise had been cancelled. When going back through our emails we found notification the day before 02/07/22 that the the cruise had been cancelled.
The company is not contactable with all phones disconnected and the emergency phone number starts with area code +65 (Singapore) and the number does not exist. We have not been contacted by anybody to explain and no refund offered as per the contract in the event of cancellation.
Trina Stoddart : My father went on this cruise from Broome end of June. Described it as 1 star at the most. Faulty towers from beginning to end. Is considering suing for breach of contract. STAY AWAY
