Sally Coulter : I highly recommend the services of the wonderful Darrell Combrink at Kiwi Carpet Cleaning. I’m an Australian living in the United States, and I recently heard from my dear friend that her elderly dad, who lives in Auckland, had suffered a medical incident in his home. There was some significant biological staining of the carpet that needed to be cleaned, and the family was so focused on their dad‘s recovery that I did not want them to have to deal with the distressing clean-up themselves. As I live too far away to help with my own two hands, I started looking online for carpet cleaning services in Auckland. I contacted several, and Darrell was the first to reply.
A couple of things I liked about Darrell right off the bat: he was very upfront about what he could and could not do. Darrell understands that it’s better to state realistically what’s possible, rather than to overpromise and leave a customer disappointed.
Although I asked for a quote in the first email, Darrell wisely waited to give me one until he had seen the site, because of course he needs that information to tell me how much it would likely cost. I’m an impatient person, but again it was better to have accurate information, which I appreciated.
Darrell’s professionalism and kindness convinced me to go with his services, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Rather than muddying the waters between Darrell and my friend’s family, I got them in touch directly so they could arrange entrance into their dad‘s flat. They told me that all their interactions with Darrell were professional, compassionate, and courteous.
Darrell emailed me photos of the stains as he progressively worked over several visits to release and lighten them to the best of his ability. I was very pleased with the final results. I was also happy with the cost, which seemed more than fair for how hard I know he worked. I also appreciated the photos because I was handling the situation remotely. It added another level of trust.
I am beyond grateful to Darrell for helping me reach across the Pacific to help my Kiwi friend and her family. I would use Darrell’s services again without hesitation, and so should you.
