Manuka Restaurant
What other Aucklanders are saying about Manuka Restaurant.
Customer : What an absolutely delightful dining experience. From the moment we arrived, we were taken care of. The service was faultless, our wait staff were attentive. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. I cannot recommend the chicken mango salad or the blueberry pancakes enough. Oh and then there were the sweet treats in the cabinet, a real spoil with afternoon tea. This is definitely somewhere I recommend for breakfast, brunch or lunch.
Customer : The food was not too bad but not great. The ambiance didn’t feel friendly or welcoming unfortunately and this place is not kid friendly. Although they brought colouring and pencils it didn’t feel that this place is used to having kids. When my daughter asked to taste a second ice cream I was told you only allowed to taste one ice cream but she could do a second tasting as an exception. I declined the offer as it didn’t feel genuine. I would not come back to this place and mainly because of the unfriendly staff.
Customer : I had a really bad pancake there, soggy, hard.. it felt like they dipped it in the syrup and oil.
The waiter with white hair showed no regard and started gaving me attitudes when I told him it was soggy and I wanted to exchange it after eating a bit of it. “nah mate you ate it”
it’s not about the $20, it’s more about being respected and appreciated ♂
Customer : Great service, and a really refreshing frappe and perfectly cooked calamari. It came out incredibly fast (like 10 minutes) while it was busy as well.
Highly recommended
Customer : Eaten here many times over 15 years
This is in a prime location of Devonport and catches a lot of tourists as well as locals.
This restaurant is slightly disappointing as it really has not evolved over the years even with new owners.
The food is very palate neutral and simple with the breakfasts being under seasoned and basic
The coffees and smoothies are enjoyable and the service is always good and personable
The pizzas are probably the best part of the restaurant as they are wood fire and are tasty and enjoyable
The dinners are similar to the breakfasts slightly bland and could do with a bit of a refresh as most the meals have been unchanged for years
The Tap beer has been the same also and is not the nicest and with a ever growing love for craft beer, this would be welcomed.
They offer gelato which are a yummy way to end the night/ afternoon
Customer : Nice ambience
Love the food especially the seafood chowder and seafood linguine, delicious
Good customer service
A must go in Devonport
Customer : Absolutely loved the rare Tuna, the garlic Prawns were a tad over cooked but still delicious the iced mocha was devine as were the flat whites! Will be comg back for dinner soon!
Customer : The food was okay. Fresh salmon but not the green veggies. Ice drink was a bit overpriced, comparing with other cafes.
