Customer : What’s happened to this place? Very old almond croissant served, unclean tables, very new “green” staff. And It used to be vibrant and welcoming but now.. not good. Many places to choose from in the area so won’t be going back. Is this under new management? Am sad about the state of it as it used to be a Great cafe.
Customer : I never post a review but I had to. I got the vegan breakfast, which came with tofu, avocado and vegan hollandaise sauce. The avocado was well on its way to rotting as it had large brown patches all the way through. When I complained, on of the staff first tried to tell me that avocados are no in season, so it’s hard to get good ones and they didn’t know that what I got wasn’t good. I pointed out that the avocado was sliced, and so the chef knowingly served me a rotten avocado. The staff’s story then changed, and told me that it wasn’t rotten, it was burnt (the avocado was coated with a batter and pan fried). I’ve had avocado cooked like this before, and it doesn’t result in brown patches that taste like goo.
I wouldn’t have posted this review if the staff were upfront about their negligence and tried to correct it. Instead, the staff made up excuses and were pandering. It was also odd how the staff kept talking to my husband, even though I was the one who was explaining what had happened.
It’s a shame, this cafe used to be really good.
Customer : The cabinet food is always fresh and delicious, recently tried the menu for the first time – the creamy mushrooms are a stand out. Great chef in the kitchen. Beverage-wise, our favourite beverage is the iced chocolate, perfect heavy load of sweetness, but have enjoyed the coffee offerings here too. Great local cafe if you’re in the Ponsonby area.
Customer : Beautiful cafe, friendly staff and a good vibe when you enter. Great place to escape this cold weather.

Customer : A bit of a ho-hum experience here. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. Coffee and food were ok so not complaining at all. But, they were just ok. Can’t quite put a finger on why I felt like this.
Customer : Great coffees! Good service – but not many parks down rhe side. Will you get towed away if temporarily parked in Proximity space? I never ever see cars there
Customer : Waited for at least an hour for our meals due to waitress forgetting to pass our order on to the chef. There were only three other customers present at the time so they weren’t busy. Offered a coffee each on the house but we declined as we had already had one. Meals were not bad, but not worth the wait. No discount given for the wait time.
Customer : I had a very lovely time here! Came in just to check the place out and read a book with a coffee. The flat white was good and all the staff were very kind and friendly, and it was just a nice cosy space. Also really enjoyed the old classic hits playlist in the background haha. Hopefully can come back to try some of the menu!
