The Terrace

What other Aucklanders are saying about The Terrace.

Customer : Wonderful, memorable of the flat white I had when the Dawali Festival ,I just had to go again , sitting up on the terrace today ,I enjoyed filling my belly with a chicken wrap, it was packed with the filling and fir only 9 dollars it was delishes, the tasty cheese with salad , nicely cooked chicken , moist , crispy wrap served hot to my table, lovely flat white to accompany my snack , a real coffee , tasty and just strong enough to get the kick ,a delightful experience, my favorite stop, I get off the train at Britmort train station, the plan is to walk up queen street to aeotea square Terrace just to have that coffee , the water was cold too, crisp, filtered to perfection, choose fresh or sparkly at no cost . Walking away feeling very happy and very fullfilled I always love a good experience even if its just a wrap and coffee to me it is a treat . So it is the little things that count ,very nice thank you , including the professionalism of the staff , your representing Auckland city in a very favorable way and I personally thank you.

Customer : Salmon brochette was burnt. Managed quite well by staff. $7 was pricy. Pizza and fries nice. Cushion had a hole in fabric. Plastic plates, not the best

Customer : Great flat white and food! Lovely spot to sit and relax

Customer : According to the grey haired cafe manager, women are second class citizens and are not allowed to use the cafe toilets. The females in our group were refused entry to the facilities, and were directed to the port-a-loos, whilst the male part of our group were able to walk in and out using the on-site facilities with no questions asked. This is the bazaar situation we encountered whilst watching Diwali yesterday. We ended up trying to navigate the half derelict cinema complex next door to relieve ourselves.

We had all come from an earlier engagement and fancied sitting on the terrace with a beer to watch the live performances as we were in the area. When confronting the grey haired manager about this situation, his only comment was that the men were ‘customers’ – i was literally mind blown!!! I literally had a coffee ticket in my hand at the time!! I told him he was disgusting, he just turned and walked away offering no apology. I do not think this person is fit to work in hospitality and as you can tell it made my blood boil how misogynistic his actions were.

Customer : Worst chai latte ever. They gave me warm milk. No flavour whatsoever. Even my colleagues said, their coffees were bad.

Customer : It is a perfectly pleasant place. The views are nice. It was lovely sitting outside on the terrace. The muffin was a bit dry, but the coffee was great

Customer : It’s the place for pre-show drinks, especially if can get the $7 happy hour til 7pm, else normal pricing about $9 up. Got some food there too. Only issue us that whilst not the most busy, tables still pretty dirty

Customer : We ended up here when the other bar we planned to go to was closed. It is quite a nice place with plants surrounding the tables. The addition of astroturf made it feel garden like. The place wasn’t too loud so we could have conversations and we were able to people watch across Aotea Square.
The toilets were located inside Aotea center and the bar did close quite early (around 20:00).
