VR Voom

What other Aucklanders are saying about VR Voom.

Mary Mary : An amazing VR experience. Lots of choices of games, the lady was super accomodating and patient with my younger kids and the whole family just loved it!

Finn Godbolt : Fun games,

BUT! When we went the escape room and the floor games were out of action due to rain flooding the building. Which would be fine, but no compensation for this was offered.

We spent most of our 70 minutes figuring out how to control the games. I think for the price charged you need to receive two hours at least to get some enjoyment out of it. For us it was pretty much a solid hour of tutorial for one game and then our session was pretty much over.

Don’t play the two player racing game – its pretty retro and you are essentially doing nothing. This also took over 10 mins to set up.

My advice is: have a timetable of how long customers want to spend on what game – then get the games loaded and set up while customers are already busy playing one game – so when we go to the next game its already waiting for us.

We spent $160 between the two of us an essentially paid that for an hour messing around with controllers.

The girl working was really nice though – and if the prices were reduced or times extended I would probably come back for more (now that i have done a tutorial on the game I didnt really get to play)

Paul Linford : My family and I visited last weekend. We played the virtual escape room as a family. We have played this type of game in a few places now in similar establishments. This one, VR Voom, was by far the worst experience of any we have ever had before. Firstly, it’s really expensive, and secondly the equipment is not set-up or maintained well. Similar games venues would typically have a safe zone for each player made up of a safety enclosure to stop you banging into other players, or the furniture.
These enclosures also manage the cables and keep you safe as you move. VR Voom had no such safety barriers. I ended up with cables tangled around my neck and my daughter bashed her hand against furniture. This is expensive, glitchy and unsafe. I would not recommend.

Richard Wager : Amazing. I knew I wasn’t going anywhere but couldn’t convince my mind and held on for fear life. Expensive but great place.

Claire Liu : Had fun.Not playing enough. Sometimes there are many guests and few service staff, and it is very distressing to wait for the service staff to start the game.

Manpreet singh : Best experience. Recommend

Gurpreet Kaur : Do not recommend this place. Staff are really rude we already told them that ours first time but they not helpful at all. My helmet even was not properly on . While i was playing game it was keep on falling. I was holding my helmet with the one hand . Really bad experience .

Kamran Hasnain :

Johnny Agnew : What an amazing experience we all had. We took our 8 and 12 year old nephews and as adults, we all has a fantastic time. Lovely staff member and cool facilities. Highly recommend.
