What other Aucklanders are saying about Wongkok Cafe & Bar.
Customer : They rob. Menu price stated but they charge otherwise while you tap at machine if u do not check. Do not recommend. Fried beef hofun being rob at 21nzd. Chilli topup 1nzd and beef is stale dried stiff. No taste kuaytiao which i doubt they fried in the wok. But Big portion.
Customer : The shop looked like & felt like a dinner in a dark alley way. The money they make should go on renovating the place. It felt greasy & dirty. I’m no rush to go back there. They should move with the times.
Customer : Spent $60 on roast pork on rice,2 rice,2 deep fried chicken wings and 1 spring roll. .was charged an extra $16 for AIR as I only received one lot of wings. .soo annoyed as I asked if everything was there n she assured me it was. .only to get home to realize I was missing some wings n that I was overcharged will definitely not be going back anytime soon
Customer : I love their food. It’s a smallish place. No frills but the food is yummy. Gets very busy. It’s across from Skycity .
It gets a 5 from me
Customer : I’ve been coming here with my best mate for about 10 years. We always order Yang Zhou Fried Rice ($16) and Sweet and Sour Pork ($18). Over the years the price has gone up, but the food quality, taste, and quantity is always good.
Customer : I’ve been going to this place for dinner for a while now. They used to be quite reasonably priced, however, it’s a but expensive now. However, the food is good. I usually have the “Beef Stir Fried Noodles” and “Beef in Black Bean Sauce” with a single portion sticky rice. There are heaps of other options available at this restaurant. They also do vegetarian versions of most meals!
Customer : 4 stars for food and 2 stars for service. Found the cafe lady rude and least interested. Will prefer a take away rather than eating there. Servings have good quantity and even the service is quick.
